For the ones who don’t know yet, I’m engaged! Our wedding is set for May 29, 2011 – in other words, we have quite some time to plan.

I’ve started a wedding blog that I hopeĀ  you’ll visit often. Our planning will be documented there. All graphics on the blog were created by K5!

My Next Adventure

A friend of mine recently moved into the Peerless Lofts on Westminster Street (Providence, RI) where wall space and natural light are in abundance…an artist’s dream! I could not be more excited for this opportunity.

Meet my next adventure:

I’m not sure if I’ll be doing one large canvas or multiple small ones that fit together like a puzzle. After seeing my friend’s furnishings I shall decide.

Stay tuned!

My Latest Custom Painting

I recently had the pleasure of painting a 16×20 acrylic on canvas for a salon owner’s kitchen in Cranston, RI. Her request was simple: “Flowers in a vase”. After asking what color wall it would be going on (yellow), I went to work. After the fine tuning, roughly 10 hours were spent on this piece.

I worked with a large amount of paint for the background giving it depth and texture. The client really wanted to see brush strokes for a more loose effect. The flowers are definitely the focal point here, bursting with optimistic yellow – great for the kitchen it’s hanging in.

My favorite part of the painting: the vase!
